How positions work
Zip Squatter is a directory of featured real estate agents by zip code. Positions are sponsored. The board for each zip orders agents by sponsorship level, and any licensed agent can take a position.
The boards
Every US zip code has one board with 25 visible positions. A board starts empty. Your position is set by your most recent sponsorship for that zip. It does not expire, but if the board fills past 25 sponsors, whoever holds the lowest amount stops appearing on the page until they raise it back above the cut line.
Ordering
- Sponsorships are whole US dollars, $10 minimum, $999,999 maximum.
- On an open board, $10 takes the top position.
- Passing any position costs at least $5 more than that position's current sponsorship. A smaller sponsorship places you at the level it earns.
- Equal sponsorships keep their original order. The earlier one stays higher.
- To move up, or to take a position back after someone passes you, you pay the full new amount. There is no credit for earlier sponsorships. Example: you hold #1 at $10, someone takes it at $15, and taking it back costs $20.
What a position means
A position reflects sponsorship level. It is not a measure of sales volume, closings, reviews, or license standing, and it is not an endorsement by Zip Squatter. Agents may describe themselves as a featured or sponsored agent for a zip code. Agents should not describe a position as a ranking of performance.
Who appears on the boards
No name appears on any board unless that person sponsored a position. There are no placeholder entries. The site operator, and agents at the same brokerage as the operator, may hold sponsored positions under the same rules as everyone else.
Your entry
Your entry is public: name, company, the link you provide, your bio and details if you add them, the zip, and the sponsorship amount. Your email is never shown. Sponsorships are not refundable. A completed payment is what places the position. You edit your entry through the private link shown after payment and included in your receipt. To remove your entry, use the contact link in the footer.
Bios
A bio is optional, up to 600 characters, plain sentences only. Bios may not contain links, code, markup, instructions aimed at software, hidden characters, or ranking and superlative claims such as #1, best, top producer, or award-winning. The form refuses these. Bios are written by the sponsor and are not verified by Zip Squatter.
AI and search activity
Each zip page and agent page reports its visits from AI assistants and crawlers, by user agent. "Opened by an AI assistant" means a tool such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity fetched the page while answering a person. Counts are raw server counts and are not audited.
